Building verified local services infrastructure for Africa.

Saka is not a generic directory. We combine discovery, spatial intelligence, provider reputation, and direct communication, launching first in Nairobi, Kenya.

Mechanic working on a matatu in Nairobi

Our mission

Nairobi is a city powered by extraordinary craft and everyday hustle. But when an electrical emergency strikes, a pipe bursts, or a vehicle breaks down, residents are forced to gamble on unvetted contacts shared in estate WhatsApp groups.

At the same time, exceptional carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and mechanics have no reliable way to compound their hard-won reputations beyond word-of-mouth.

Saka bridges this divide. We provide the infrastructure for local discovery, identity verification, honest reviews, and direct communication — so trusted tradespeople get found, and households get reliable help.

How we work

Three rules we hold ourselves to.

We never take a cut
You agree the price with the professional and pay them directly, usually by M-Pesa. Saka charges no commission on the job.
We never invent numbers
No made-up reviews, ratings, job counts or testimonials. If a profile is new, it says so.
You ask, they quote, you decide
There is no instant booking. Describe the job, get a quote in the chat, and only hire when it makes sense to you.
