1. Platform Nature & Scope
Saka is a local services discovery and reputational infrastructure platform operated in Nairobi, Kenya. Saka provides digital identity verification, localized spatial mapping, search indexing, and real-time communication tools connecting customers (homeowners, businesses, property managers) with independent trade professionals and certified businesses.
Saka is not an employer, general contractor, or staffing agency. All professionals on Saka operate as independent sole proprietors or registered business entities.
2. Direct Service Agreements & Pricing
All contractual relationships, scope of work definitions, job timelines, material procurements, and pricing determinations are established directly between the customer and the provider via Saka inquiry threads.
Estimated price guidance shown in search listings reflects typical market call-out fees in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and does not constitute a guaranteed binding price until a formal quote is submitted and accepted.
3. Zero Middleman Commission Policy
Saka operates on a zero-commission model for labor fees. Professionals retain 100% of their earned service compensation. Payments are settled directly between customer and provider using standard Kenyan payment channels (M-Pesa, bank transfer, or cash).
4. Identity Verification & Trust Standards
Professionals submitting National ID, Passport, or regulatory trade certifications (e.g. EPRA, NCA) warrant that all submitted credentials are valid, unexpired, and legitimately issued.
Submitting forged documents, misrepresenting trade licensure, or fabricating customer reviews results in immediate, permanent banishment from the Saka platform and potential referral to Kenyan law enforcement authorities.
5. Dispute Resolution & Limitation of Liability
In the event of a dispute regarding craftsmanship quality, punctuality, or payments, users agree to first attempt resolution through the documented Saka communication thread. While Saka provides mediation support through our Trust & Safety desk, Saka is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential property damages resulting from services contracted through the platform.
